As an enthusiastic engineer I have tested and applied my problem solving skills throughout my experience of working in both an academia and industry-like research companies. Applied scientific research

TNO - Process and Instrumentation Development

During this time I worked in a research team involved in a joint EU project. My duties were development of a chemometrics approach to the in-line analysis of the solvent flow at post-combustion carbon capture pilot plant. I have assembled the hardware that makes up a measurement line, performed the calibration of the approach in a laboratory with subsequent test at the pilot-scale plant installed at a power station in Germany. The results of the campaign were as well validated, thus providing the good perspectives for the developed approach. The forecasting model has been also programmed by myself in MatLab programming environment.

Applied scientific research

RWTH-Aachen University

The research project was devoted to the study of the CO2 absorption by aqueous amine solutions using Raman spectroscopy. I was working in the group of the Measurements systems engineering at the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics. During the project I carried out the following duties:

  1. Selection of equipment that is necessary for construction of the experimental setup
  2. The experimental setup assembly and calibration
  3. Elaboration of the measurement procedure
  4. Conducting experiments of solvent loading with CO2 in a custom-designed measurement cell, which is pressure and temperature controlled
  5. Analyzing studied media by means of Raman spectroscopy followed by the interpretation of the recorded spectra.
Moreover, I have been accomplishing teaching duties, such as assisting students of first and second year in problems solving, and supervising seminars of measurement laboratory classes.

Scientific research

Junior research scientist in the Institute of Semiconductor Physics SB RAS, Novosibirsk

I was involved in development of the new semiconductor materials and conducted analytical measurements. During this period of time I was working in the "Laboratory of the Radiation Resistance of Semiconductors and Semiconductor devices". The purpose of my research consisted of studying the structure of the amorphous and polycrystalline silicon films created by means of LTPS fabrication technique. While working in this laboratory I have mastered method of Raman scattering spectroscopy. One of the research topics at the same period was devoted to the construction of the ion plasma sources.

During this period I was responsible for re-factoring of several programming solutions like the corporate website (aimed for English speaking clients around the-world), an email client (both back- and front-end), corporate CRM system. Every project has been carried out until the release version and some of them are functional until today. In addition, I have been conducting analytical surveys of activities of the websites and performed technical writing activities.
